KANYAKUMARI & WOODEN PALACE (TAMIL NADU), - TRIVANDRUM (KERALA)


Zum 9. Geburtstag der Bindu-Art School wünschten sich die Bindu Künstler eine Reise in den Bundesstaat Kerala und nach Kanyakumari, die südlichste Spitze Indiens in Tamil Nadu, dort wo der Indische Ozean, der Golf von Bengalen und das Arabische Meer aufeinander treffen. Insgesamt fühlten sich 16 Bindu Künstler körperlich in der Lage die 20 Stunden dauernde Zugreise und die Anstrengungen diverser Besichtigungen auf sich zu nehmen.

Die Künstler fuhren alleine mit dem Nachtzug von Chennai nach Kanyakumari wo sie von Werner Dornik und Dagmar Vogl direkt vom Bahnhof abgeholt und zum Vivekananda Kendra Campus gebracht wurden. Nachdem alle in den Unterkünften untergebracht waren, gab es ein ausgiebiges vegetarisches Frühstück im Speisesaal des Campus. Anschließend wurde gemeinsam mit Herrn Munuswari und Shri V. Ramakrishna, Mitarbeitern des Vivekananda Kendra Campus, das weitere Programm ausgearbeitet.

Die erste Besichtigung in Kanyakumari war das Vivekananda Rock Memorial, das sich nur mit einer Fähre erreichen lässt und für die Bindu Künstler zu einem abenteuerlichen Erlebnis wurde. Von der Plattform des Felsens aus konnte man die Weite der drei Meere beobachten. Darauf wurde das Monument 1970 zu Ehren des spirituellen Hindu Lehrers Swami Vivekananda erbaut. Es wurde behauptet, dass er auf diesem Felsen Erleuchtung erlangte und fortan ein Reformer und Philosoph wurde.

Vivekananda war ein spirituelles Genie von überragendem Intellekt und außerordentlicher Willenskraft. In seinem kurzen Leben von nur 39 Jahren (1863-1902) schuf er ein immenses Werk schriftstellerischer und organisatorischer Art. Die Botschaft der Einheit und Universalität durch die machtvolle spirituelle Ausstrahlung dieses großen Lehrers und Exponenten der Philosophie des Vedanta berührte viele Menschen und Berühmtheiten (wie Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Leo Tolstoy, Rabindranath Tagore u.v.m.) zutiefst.
Nach der Besichtigung sparzierten die Künstler in Kanyakumari durch den Bazar kauften Souvenirs und genossen frischgepressten Zuckerrohrsaft. Im Vivekananda Campus wurde nach einem köstlichen vegetarischen Mittagessen, der Bharat Gramodaya Darshan Park bei Vivekanandapuram besichtigt. Die Bindu Künstler waren dort zu einen amüsanten und informativen Vortrag von Shri V. Ramakrishnas über Wasserversorgung, Nahrung bzw. Landwirtschaft und ayurvedische Medizin eingeladen. Den wunderschönen erlebnisreichen Tag ließen die Bindu Künstler beim Sonnenuntergangspunkt am Strand ausklingen.

Am nächsten Tag ging es dann mit dem Bus weiter nach Trivandrum, die Hauptstadt Keralas, zur Eröffnung einer Bindu-Ausstellung in der Alliance Francaise Galerie. (s.u. Ausstellungen 2014). Auf der Route besichtigten die Bindu Künstler den beeindruckenden hölzernen Padmanahapuram Palast und die Vorgärten des riesigen Zoos in Trivandrum. Nach einem weiteren spannungsreichen Tag fuhr man wieder zurück nach Kanyakumari.

Den nächsten Morgen verbrachten die Künstler am Strand des Campus um den prächtigen Sonnenaufgang am Strand zu bestaunen und die Weite des zu genießen. Ihre freudig übermütige Ausgelassenheit kannte dabei keine Grenzen was dem Strandaufseher etwas missfiel. Anschließend nach einem reinigenden Bad im Meer und wohlschmeckendem Frühstück spazierten die Bindu Künstler ein letztes Mal durch den Ort Kanyakumari, besuchten die hübsche Kirche "Our Lady of Randsom Church" um zu meditieren und ihre Demut sowie Dankbarkeit zu zeigen. Besonders Interesse fanden sie auch für den vor der Kirche dargestellten Kreuzweg.

Im Namen unserer Künstler/innen der Bindu-Art School möchten wir uns für diese wunderbare und außergewöhnliche Reise bei allen Unterstützern herzlich bedanken. Im Besonderen bei der österreicherin Karin Draxl für die finanziellen Mittel, die diesen Ausflug ermöglichten und bei den Mitarbeitern von Vivekanander Kendra (Kanyakumari), vor allem Munuswari und Shri V. Ramakrishna, für die Unterkunft, die köstliche reichhaltige Verpflegung sowie ihre persönliche liebevolle Betreuung.
